Within GPCC scientists from almost all the University’s faculties carry out interdisciplinary research. The research starting point is a person’s experiences / symptoms of disease and ill health, and part of the aim is to increase our knowledge of correlations between symptoms and organ dysfunctions, for example in cardiac and gastrointestinal disease. We also study how the care and treatment can be improved by a person-centered approach, and whether and how person-centeredness can increase the efficiency of care. Moreover, we have a responsibility to ensure that our results are implemented in health care, and part of the research projects deal with method development for practical implementation.
Descriptions of individual research projects can be found under the respective research projects, where you can also find contact information about the PI and other group members. E-mail adresses and telephone numbers you can find on our contact pages.
